While there’s still some debate to be had over when that all-important first trailer for Avengers 4 is most likely to drop, the overwhelming majority of online speculators are zeroing in on these next couple of weeks as the most likely period, with YouTube channel Everything Always now offering their prediction of Wednesday, November 28th.
This isn’t the only source to suggest such a date in these last couple of days, with some fans predicting that the teaser’s release could coincide with a special Q&A screening of Avengers: Infinity War held on that same day. EA’s reason for this guess, however, has a lot to do with the fact that the first Infinity War trailer was also released on the final Wednesday of November, and given how well that footage did with its traffic figures, it’s easy to imagine Disney would want to replicate that 2017 success. What’s more, this date falls exactly one week before the launch of the Avengers 4 Prelude comic, which almost certainly won’t be coming out before the film’s official title is revealed.
Overall, it seems that there’s a solid case to be made for the 28th, but it’s still not the only candidate in this race. One recent rumor, for instance, alleges that the trailer is set to premiere during Monday Night Football on November 26th. And with the latest Dumbo trailer coming out a little sooner than expected, there’s even been some speculation that the Marvel teaser might arrive as soon as this week. Then again, we could all be wrong, and maybe director Joe Russo wasn’t bluffing when he hinted that we may have to wait until 2019 for the footage to drop. We wouldn’t bet on that last one, mind you.
But regardless of the exact day this trailer comes our way, one date that’s been decided on for a while now is the release of Avengers 4 on May 3rd, 2019.
