The long-awaited arrival of Tony Stark’s fiancée into the fray has evidently fired up the imagination of the fans, including digital artist CreativeDesigns16, who took to Instagram with their vision of Pepper’s full outfit. And while this design looks like a bit of a departure from what we saw in the leaked photo of Paltrow’s costume, it’s still a pretty stylish suit of armor in its own right.

The image was uploaded with a caption that reads, “Don’t worry Tony!! Rescue will come soon!!,” referencing the popular fan theory that Pepper will be the one who saves Tony Stark from his drift through space. Granted, this is just one of several predictions that have made the rounds online, with the internet also suggesting the likes of Captain Marvel and Valkyrie as Iron Man’s potential savior, but there might well something to Tony’s trailer line about “zero promise of rescue.”

Either way, it remains to be seen whether Pepper’s choice to suit up will be a one-off occasion for desperate times, or if Marvel Studios has some long-term plans for the heroine, but seeing how Avengers: Endgame is looking likely to be Robert Downey Jr.’s MCU swan song, Rescue would be a pretty appropriate way to keep the Stark legacy going. Regardless, we’ll find out how Pepper fares in the fight when the film hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
