Now that the hype for Avengers: Infinity War is in full swing, thanks to the first teaser trailer landing last month, more and more fans are serving up their awesome homemade posters and artwork as we await the event movie’s arrival next May. Take the one below, for example, which was shared on the Marvel Studios subreddit this week.

It follows the style of the concept art posters released earlier in the year by featuring just about every major Marvel hero involved in Infinity War all crammed in together, with Thanos the Mad Titan looming over them, wielding his fully powered Infinity Gauntlet. We’ve got Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Falcon, Doctor Strange, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Winter Soldier and a brooding Loki off to the side. Not to mention the Milano in the background, which is a hint at the Guardians of the Galaxy’s involvement.

Take a look at the poster in the gallery below – along with a few that were released earlier in the month – and see what you think.

Pretty neat, eh? The art style used here is great, as it’s a sort of Marvel comics technique mixed with a hint of anime. There are a couple of welcome easter eggs hidden in the poster, too, that proves this is the work of a true believer. For instance, Hawkeye is firing an arrow saddled by Ant-Man, just as in Captain America: Civil War, and there’s a skull to the right of Thanos’ head. This is a nod to Mistress Death, the big bad’s lady love in the comics. Of course, we don’t yet know whether this aspect of the character will be retained for the MCU, but there are theories out there that suggest it’s a possibility.

Finally, kudos to the artist for inverting that annoying trope of female leads having to pose with their rear end towards the camera. Let the guys have a go at that weird pose once in a while and see how they like it.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to be the culmination of everything the MCU has been building towards for the past decade and you have until May 4th, 2018 to prepare yourself for what might just be the movie event of the century.
