IMAX TV Spot For Avengers: Infinity War Issues A Wakandan War Cry

x

IMAX has returned from Wakanda bearing gifts – specifically, the latest (and potentially greatest?) TV spot for Avengers: Infinity War, one in which Thanos unleashes his gigantic army upon T’Challa’s kingdom.

In what is shaping up to be the sequel’s grand finale – a finale that’s adapted from a 25-page battle sequence from screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely – up above you’ll see T’Challa and Captain America take one last stand on the plains of Wakanda, where the Mad Titan had adopted a ‘scorched Earth’ approach in order to retrieve the Mind Stone (and perhaps the Soul Stone?) from Africa’s secret utopia.

And though it’s impossible to know for sure, it’s looking increasingly likely that the Battle of Wakanda and Infinity War‘s Titan sequence will take place simultaneously, which would go some way to explaining why the likes of Doctor Strange, Star-Lord and even Iron Man aren’t present in Wakanda. By the same token, neither Cap nor Black Panther appear to feature on Titan, though it’d be foolish to try and deduce plot points from only 30 seconds of footage.

All in all, this IMAX promo, ahem, caps off a pretty busy week in the Marvel camp, given the past seven days have witnessed a staggering amount of TV spots and clips dedicated to Avengers: Infinity War.

If you’ve been limiting yourself on the trailer front, you’ll likely want to avoid this teaser at all costs – besides, T’Challa issuing his Wakandan war cry will look and sound 10x better on the silver screen. Which is something that can be said about basically every aspect of Avengers: Infinity War.

Thankfully, it won’t be too much longer until Marvel’s epic is out in the wild, as April 27th is exactly seven days away from now. Hype!
