Avengers: Infinity War LEGO Set Teases Iron Man Vs. Thanos Battle

In the past, LEGO sets promoted in advance of various superhero movie releases have done a fine job of spoiling major details. Chief among them, of course, was The Amazing Spider-Man's Lizard-laden third act that saw that flick's primary antagonist turn a SWAT team into reptile-human hybrids. Well, as it turns out, that proud tradition is seemingly continuing with the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War.

Well, as it turns out, that proud tradition is seemingly continuing with the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. LEGO sets for the pic have been making the rounds online for a while now, but today, we’ve got a new look at them and though these photos are blurry and far from the best quality, they do offer up a few tantalizing hints at what’s to come. Chief amongst them being a potential showdown between Iron Man and Thanos.

Yes, as you’ll see in one of the photos below, we have Stark in his new Model-Prime armor facing off against the Mad Titan. He’s got Gamora for support, but Josh Brolin’s villain seems to be wielding his fully powered Infinity Gauntlet, leading us to believe that this will be a nail-biting showdown. Beyond that, we can also catch a look at Bruce Banner inside the Hulkbuster, Peter Parker’s Iron Spider suit, that attack on Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum which keeps being teased and more.

So, there you have it; a few more potential Infinity War story clues to mull over. Truth be told, it’s difficult to imagine a scenario in which Marvel would willingly include major plot points for Avengers 3 in a toy line – especially a toy line that’s available so far ahead of release – but we digress.

One way or another, we’ll find out soon enough if this is all accurate, as after 10 years and 17 movies worth of build-up –Black Panther notwithstanding – Avengers: Infinity War is prepped and ready to deliver a huge climax on May 4th. Select international countries, including the United Kingdom, will welcome Marvel’s sequel a little early, which only highlights the continuing importance of the overseas box office.
