As previously stated, the summer begins with the release of Endgame on April 26th, and it’s practically a given that Marvel’s era-closing work will be the biggest release of the season. Nonetheless, it must be said that Detective Pikachu is headed for cinemas on May 10th with more buzz behind it than just about anyone could’ve predicted this time last year. After that, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will be wrapping up the Keanu Reeves-led action saga when it comes out on May 17th, before Disney’s live action Aladdin remake hits theaters on May 24th.

Rounding out the month of May is Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which comes stomping into cinemas on the 31st. We then have the heavily delayed X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is due to bring the current X-Men series to a close when it arrives on June 7th. A week later, Men in Black: International is scheduled for a June 14th release, before Toy Story 4 comes out on June 21st.

Next, we have Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will finish off the MCU’s 2019 slate when it swings into theaters on July 2nd. Two weeks later, meanwhile, comes the live-action Lion King on July 19th, but if all these sequels, remakes and reboots seem a little wearying, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is due for release on July 26th. Finally, we come to August, when Fast and Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw is scheduled to open on August 2nd, followed by Artemis Fowl on August 9th.

So, those are the big releases we can expect in the next four months, but it all starts with Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters on April 26th.
