Entertainment Weekly’s Comic-Con issue set the Internet on fire last week with new images from next year’s mega-blockbuster Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now the official, high-resolution stills (without watermarks) have arrived online for your viewing pleasure.
Though the images didn’t give away any huge plot points from the movie, they’ve ignited a great deal of conversation about various aspects of the pivotal DC Comics/Warner Bros. tentpole.
For one, the meet-cute between Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is actually more of a veiled flirtation between two heroes well-aware of the secret lives they each lead. That suggests the two have either crossed paths before or that Prince (aka Wonder Woman) has left some clues to her secret identity in her wake over the years. With some speculating that the Amazonian warrior is much older than she appears, possibly hundreds of years old, the latter would make sense.
And for another, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) is sporting a full head of hair, which means he’s either donning a wig to throw off the general public or loses his hair at some point in the pic. Could kryptonite have some nasty side effects on humans?
Comic-Con will surely bring more information about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, so at this rate we’ll likely know all there is to know about the flick long before it flies into theaters next year on March 26, 2016.
