Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice DP Shares New BTS Video Of The Dark Knight In Action

While, at this point, I’d find some way to pay the tab myself, I’m afraid whether or not Zack Snyder can indeed call Warner Bros.’ bluff and foot the bill to complete his cut of Justice League, is irrelevant. Last month, DCEU storyboard artist, Jay Oliva, revealed that the remaining two instalments in Snyder’s initial five-film plan - Justice League Part 2, and an untitled fifth entry - “would have resolved everyone’s arc…Superman most of all.”

Although I can honestly say I fell on the opposite side of popular opinion apropos of Man of Steel, when it comes to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, I cannot profess with certainty, tis far better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

While at this point, I’d find some way to pay the tab myself, I’m afraid whether or not Zack Snyder can indeed call Warner Bros.’ bluff and foot the bill to complete his cut of Justice League is irrelevant. Last month, DCEU storyboard artist Jay Oliva revealed that the remaining two installments in Snyder’s initial five-film plan – Justice League Part 2 and an untitled fifth entry – “would have resolved everyone’s arc…Superman most of all.”

Therefore, Zack’s intention with the unpolished footage, notwithstanding, the Snyder cut of Justice League would, unquestionably, leave the fandom wanting and, without a doubt, raise more questions than answer those left dangling from the supergroup feature’s mangled corpse. As such, I fear it’s best just to let sleeping dogs lie. So, with that in mind, let’s take a trip down memory lane, courtesy of cinematographer Larry Fong.

Aside from Snyder on Vero, and Oliva on Twitter, there isn’t a DCEU member more active on social media than Fong. Yesterday, the Kong: Skull Island DP was asked about his involvement in a particularly famous shot from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The sequence in question sees the Dark Knight (Ben Affleck) narrowly avoid incineration at the grotesquely mutated hands of Doomsday, in a rather badass manner, I must say. Fong did his best to comply but was only able to contribute a similar, but entirely separate clip from behind the scenes, which you can see below.

Circling back to the Snyder cut and regardless of my pessimism, I’m still enjoying these Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice BTS goodies, as I’m sure you are, too – and should any others surface, we’ll certainly let you know.
