Ben Affleck Eyeing Line Of Sight

Big Ben is on a roll lately. While he may have been the butt of every joke after films like Gigli and Daredevil, Ben Affleck is starting to prove to Hollywood that maybe he’s not a laughing matter.
His comeback started with the fantastic Gone Baby Gone and continued with the excellent crime thriller The Town. Next up for Ben is Argo, which is also looking incredibly promising. While that film is still early in development, Affleck is already eyeing his next film, which may be Line Of Sight.
The film is an interesting one. It’s about “an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat,” but it’s not the plot that makes it interesting, rather, it’s the way the story is told that piques our interest.
THR says that the film will tell the story “from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game.” Interested yet?
It’s an ambitious idea and while not one that hasn’t been done before, it’s still a risky move. Will audiences really want to sit through an entire film that is shot like that?
I’m all for Ben Affleck directing this. I loved both Gone Baby Gone and The Town and I can’t wait to see what he does with Argo, but should be be dabbling in an experimental film like this just as he’s starting to heat up?
