Beth Grant Joins James Franco’s As I Lay Dying

Not long ago we bought you the news that the star of James Franco’s upcoming adaptation of Child Of God, Scott Haze, had joined the cast of Franco’s latest directorial project, As I Lay Dying. Today, we can reveal another casting addition as Beth Grant has also joined the cast.

Grant has stared in array of hit films in supporting roles, with credits in No County For Old Men, Donnie Darko and last year’s Academy Award winning Best Picture, The Artist. Grant, who turns 63 this month, has over 150 acting credits to her name and is sure to be a wonderful addition to the fantastic cast that Franco has been assembling for his upcoming film.

Though the film was rumoured to begin production this October, it actually began production in late August and is currently filming in Mississippi.

For those of you unfamiliar with the project, As I Lay Dying is an adaptation of William Faulkner’s novel of the same name which follows “the story of the death of Addie Bundren and her family’s quest and motivations—noble or selfish—to honor her wish to be buried in the town of Jefferson.”

As I Lay Dying stars James Franco, Danny McBride, Ahna O’Riley, Logan Marshall Green, Scott Haze, Jim Parrack, Tim Blake Nelson and Beth Grant, and is likely to be released in 2013.
