New Birds Of Prey Set Photo May Tease Harley Quinn And Poison Ivy Romance

A couple of days ago, a new photo from the set of the upcoming Birds of Prey seemingly confirmed the old claim that Harley Quinn will have broken up with the Joker by the time the character’s next film comes our way, but if some optimistic fans are to be believed, then the Clown Princess of Crime may have already moved onto another love interest.

It all goes back to that same set photo, which indicates that Harley and the Joker are no longer an item with its crossed-out tattoo of the term of endearment “Puddin.” But while Harley has clearly made some kind of an effort to keep her ink up to date with her relationship status, one tattoo that’s yet to be crossed out is the heart containing the text “P + H.” And though “Puddin” and “Harley” would be the most obvious guesses for what these letters might stand for, some fans have suggested that the ‘P’ may actually be referring to one Pamela Lillian Isley, better known by her supervillain name Poison Ivy.

The argument here is that unlike her other “Puddin” tattoos, Harley has chosen to leave the “P + H” alone because it happens to fit with her current love life. Of course, this same set photo casts that line of reasoning into serious doubt with the visible “Pudding” that can be seen right next to the heart, but while this particularly theory seems very flimsy, it still feels perfectly plausible that Harley and Poison Ivy might get together somewhere down the line.

In fact, producer/actress Margot Robbie told Pride Source just last November that she’d like to see the two characters have a relationship, and if Warner Bros. ends up following through on their plans for a Gotham City Sirens film, then we should at least be seeing Harley and Poison Ivy share the screen at some point. In the meantime, it’s looking more likely that Birds of Prey will show Robbie’s antihero as single for now, but all will be revealed when the film hits theaters on February 7th, 2020.
