Captain Marvel Post-Credits Scene May Have An Avengers: Endgame Spoiler

After the post-credits cliffhanger that last year’s Avenges: Infinity War left us on, it’s long been assumed that Captain Marvel would find some way of connecting to next month’s Avengers: Endgame. Sure enough, Carol Danvers’ final scene in her solo debut brings us right back to the MCU of the present day, and thanks to one little detail on the face of her fellow hero, the sequence may reveal more than initially meets the eye.

The post-credits scene of Captain Marvel sees the heroine make a sudden arrival at the Avengers Compound, where she shares the screen with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the very first time. Though the dialogue from this sequence gives little away about the upcoming adventure, the scene does offer the noteworthy detail that Captain America is still sporting his beard from Infinity War.

Seeing how Steve Rogers has been clean-shaven in all of the Endgame promotional footage so far – most of which is reportedly taken from the movie’s early passages – it therefore stands to reason that Captain Marvel arrives at the Avengers HQ very early in the story, if not prior to the events of the film.

In fact, if the footage that screened last week to Disney shareholders is anything to go by, then Carol Danvers will likely have a consistent presence in the Infinity War sequel. Based on what we’ve heard, the preview saw Captain Marvel interacting with the likes of Thor and Bruce Banner at the Avengers Compound, before heading off with the rest of the gang into outer space, possibly to find Thanos. To find out what happens next, we’ll just have to wait until Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
