First Look At Christian Bale’s The 13 Women of Nanjing

A few months ago we reported on a new film that Christian Bale would be starring in, The 13 Women Of Nanjing. It was originally called Nanjing Heroes but it has since undergone a title change. We hadn’t heard anything on the film for a while but now /Film brings us some photos, giving us the first look. Bale is currently at work on the film and will finish it up before moving on to The Dark Knight Rises.

Not much is known about the film except that is deals with the “infamous 1937 incident called the Nanjing Massacre, or the Rape of Nanking, in which Japanese soldiers killed hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians and soldiers, and raped thousands of women after the capture of the city of Nanjing.” Bale will play a priest and the film will be in both Chinese and English. 60% will be Chinese and 40% English. Working off a budget of $90 million, the film is set to be one of the biggest productions in Chinese history.

Check out the pictures below for a first look at the film.
