Avengers: Infinity War Stars Discuss The Possibility Of Loki And Scarlet Witch Crossover

Loki and Scarlet Witch have a surprising amount in common: their ability to create illusions, their history of fighting the Avengers, their eventual switch to the good side, and also the fact that both of them seemingly died in Avengers: Infinity War. To add one more to this list, the two of them will also be getting their own spinoff shows, which will be viewable on Disney’s planned streaming service.

And yet, despite all this common ground, the trickster and the witch have yet to cross paths in the MCU, raising the question of whether we could finally see this crossover in their eventual shows. When actors Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen shared a panel at ACE Comic Con, one fan took the opportunity to suggest this possibility to the pair, prompting a discussion on who would win in a fight between Loki and Wanda Maximoff. After concluding that it would probably be Wanda, Olsen circled back to the initial query, answering:

“I don’t think we’re…I don’t know if we’re fighting anytime soon.”

While this may not be the response you want to hear, it doesn’t sound like a definitive answer either, so maybe don’t lose all hope quite yet.

Before we get a chance to see either character’s shows though, Avengers 4 will be coming our way next year, and despite things ending badly for the pair in their last movie, there’s good reason to believe that Wanda and Loki will each have roles to play in the upcoming sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

While the two stars were reluctant to offer too much information at the panel about what was to come for their characters, Olsen did offer the warning that “it’s only going to get worse” in Avengers 4. We’ll find out what she means when the film hits theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
