Doctor Strange May Be The One To Reunite Captain America And Iron Man In Avengers: Infinity War

It’s already been confirmed that Doctor Strange will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, with his co-star Benedict Wong set to join him. What their role in the film will be remains to be seen, but it’s quickly becoming apparent that the Sorcerer Supreme is going to end up playing a key part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

With The Avengers fractured following the events of Captain America: Civil War, someone is going to have to bring them together, and Benedict Cumberbatch believes that someone will be Strange.

“I think [Doctor Strange] has to be Team Doctor Strange. His job title is defender of the fabric of reality. I mean, he fights other dimensional threats that are beyond the perceptions of that very potent squabble [between Cap and Iron Man], and I’d like to think he’s going to help them both, rather than take sides.”

While many fans have speculated that the Guardians of the Galaxy would arrive on Earth to warn Earth’s Mightiest Heroes about the impending arrival of Thanos, Doctor Strange being forced to hunt them all down in Avengers: Infinity War when he learns that the Mad Titan is attempting to collect the Infinity Stones does make a lot of sense.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to begin shooting later this year back to back with the currently untitled Avengers 4. More details about who will be in the movie and what it’ll actually be about probably won’t be revealed for a while, but the fact that Doctor Strange will show up there is well worth getting excited about.
