Final Red Band Trailer For Baywatch Pulls No Punches

Mitch Buchannon whips up a storm in the final red band trailer for Baywatch. Paramount's balls-to-the-wall actioner opens on May 24th in the States.

Two weeks out from the film’s theatrical release – for those in North America, at least – Paramount has assembled the riotous final trailer for Baywatch, and if you thought you’d seen everything Seth Gordon’s feature film has to offer, think again. “Fuck that noise, let’s go handle business.”

Placing a heavy emphasis on the buddy-cop dynamic simmering between Dwayne Johnson (Mitch Buchannon) and Zac Efron (Matt Brody) – “get Rocked; get Ef’d” – today’s blistering teaser is undoubtedly the most ridiculous Baywatch promo yet, which is either exactly what you want to hear or enough to make you cover your eyes whilst yelling “desecration!”

Loosely based on the unashamedly cheesy TV series of the same name, Baywatch looks set to take a leaf from Jump Street‘s book in its journey over to the big screen. The premise is relatively simple, too: amid their pissing contest, Johnson and Efron’s dueling leads are forced to set aside old differences to confront Victoria Leeds, a scheming (and potentially murderous) business mogul to be played by Priyanka Chopra. Rounding out the all-star cast for this one are Alexandra Daddario (Summer), Kelly Rohrbach (C.J.), Ilfenesh Hadera (Stephanie Holden) and Jon Bass (Ronnie). Behind the lens is Seth Gordon of Horrible Bosses fame, which ought to give you a fair indication of what to expect going into Baywatch‘s release.

It’s “far dirtier” than the show on which it is (loosely) based, and on May 24th, Baywatch will jog off the beach and into theaters. Those across the pond can look forward to Seth Gordon’s raunchy comedy pulling into port on May 29th, though how it’ll fare against the likes of Wonder Woman and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is another question entirely.
