Director James Mangold has Tweeted out our very first look at Hugh Jackman in upcoming Wolverine threequel, Logan. Though it doesn’t reveal a whole lot, it’s a striking shot that shows us just how old the titular character is getting. He’s certainly seen better days, and the scars on his face indicate that he may not be healing as well as he used to.
This newly released photo is just the latest piece of the puzzle in what has so far been an exciting marketing campaign for the film, which has really kicked into gear lately. Just yesterday we heard that the first trailer was getting ready to debut, and before that, we had numerous images teased through the official Instagram account for Logan. Suffice to say, it’s a good time to be a fan of the clawed mutant.
Circling back to that first trailer though, new reports are coming in today that tell us while it will most certainly be attached to Doctor Strange, FOX will be releasing it on the web tomorrow as well. We don’t have a time just yet, but most outlets believe it could be as early as 9am EST. Regardless, we’ll be sure to have it for you as soon as it’s available.
Logan will claw its way into theatres on March 3rd, 2017 and in addition to Jackman, the film also stars Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Patrick Stewart and Eriq La Salle.
