The Geeks Worldwide writes that both Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) and Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) are on the shortlist for one of the many super-criminals that Pattinson’s Dark Knight will fight in Matt Reeves’ movie. The exact part they’re both up for, however, is currently unknown, though GWW suggests the Riddler as a possibility.

If so, this would fit in with We Got This Covered’s own intel about The Batman. We recently brought you the news that Doctor Strange‘s Chiwetel Ejiofor was being eyed as a possible contender to portray Edward Nygma. If Esposito and Foxx are also up for the character, then it seems Reeves is looking for a black actor in their 40s to 60s for the role.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Esposito being looked at for a major superhero movie gig of late. MCU Cosmic recently shared a rumor that the Better Call Saul star is a favorite of Marvel Studios to play some “big” unknown role in the MCU.

It was thought this role may be Norman Osborn and if the actor manages to land at least one of out of these two, he’ll be playing an iconic comic book supervillain either way. As for Foxx, he’s already portrayed Electro in Sony’s Spider-verse, so it’d be fun to see him tick off a DC movie as well.

Tell us, though, would either of these actors be your pick for the Riddler, if that’s who they’re up for? And who else would you like to see play the part in The Batman? Join the discussion in the comments section below.
