Just when you thought that Marvel might start to take their foot off the pedal in regards to the exhaustive marketing campaign for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2., it seems that they’re doing just the opposite, sending the promotional blitz into overdrive as we quickly approach the film’s May 5th release date.

Things continue apace today as the studio has now rolled out a whole host of new character posters, showing off not just our loveable heroes, but also some of the supporting players as well. Star-Lord, Ego, Drax, Mantis, Ayesha – pretty much everyone gets their chance in the spotlight here and while we have already seen a heck of a lot from the sequel, it’s still nice to get another look at the gang.

As we’ve said before, the marketing for the film is getting close to overkill, but when it’s been this fun and visually exciting/appealing, it’s hard to complain. Besides, it’s not like Marvel has spoiled anything with the footage they’ve given us so far, as the studio’s been careful to not let slip any plot details – something which they’ve been guilty of doing in the past.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters on May 5th and, if Chris Pratt is to be believed, it might just be one of the best movies of all-time. Not to mention one of the most profitable, too. It’s also set to be the first of three major Marvel films earmarked for 2017, what with Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok also waiting in the wings. Suffice it to say, it’s a good time to be a fan of the House of Ideas.
