Jeremy Renner Spills About The Bourne Legacy

In an interview with Empire, Jeremy Renner helped to clear up some confusion about the upcoming Bourne series spin-off, The Bourne Legacy. Many are wondering who he will be, and how he will fit into the series, previously led by mega-star Matt Damon. In an interview with Empire, Jeremy Renner helped to clear up some confusion about the upcoming Bourne series spin-off, The Bourne Legacy. Many are wondering who he will be, and how he will fit into the series, previously led by mega-star Matt Damon.

While Renner doesn’t reveal too much, he basically explains that’s he’s playing a whole new character who’s in the same universe as Jason Bourne. Here’s an excerpt from the Empire piece:

“My character is called Aaron Cross,” Renner told us, “but he ends up having a bunch of different names. For fans of the franchise, The Bourne Legacy has that same ticking clock, but it’s a new programme and new characters.”

It sounds like The Bourne Legacy will be pretty true to the rest of the series, only sans Matt Damon and avec Jeremy Renner. I’m not a huge fan of the Bourne movies, but I feel like Jeremy Renner is exactly what the series needs to inject some life into the lengthy films.
