Another Round Of Justice League Pics Unveil Batman’s First Meeting With Aquaman

An Amazon listing for Justice League: The Official Guide has brought forth a handful of never-before-seen pics from Zack Snyder's team-up flick.

Between them, Wonder Woman and the Caped Crusader are very much the anchors of Warner’s Justice League.

Still reeling from the events that transpired in and around Metropolis, when Superman was shockingly ‘killed’ by the wounded Doomsday, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) begin scouring the four corners of the planet in search of other metahumans. Because let’s face it, you can’t save the world alone.

And so, once Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) has been drafted into Batman’s make-shift team, the World’s Greatest Detective travels north in search of Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), the rightful king of Atlantis. No pressure, then.

Indeed, early trailers for Justice League have teased that Batman and Aquaman don’t exactly see eye-to-eye at first – as is par of the course for a superhero ensemble movie – but thanks to Amazon‘s newly-unveiled paperback, Justice League: The Official Guide, we now have another sneak peek at the moment when Batman and the King of the Seven first cross paths. This is presumably captured after the moment when Aquaman hoists the Caped Crusader into the air.

Also of note, if you caught a glimpse of yesterday’s shoddy banner image, you’ll recognize the stance of each costumed crusader, which all but confirms that said poster was cobbled together as part of a hasty Photoshop job. If it’s the real deal you’re after, you’d be better of clicking through here.

Conspicuous by his absence? Superman…again. The Man of Steel has been a total no-show during most of Justice League‘s marketing campaign. And really, that’s okay, otherwise Warner Bros. runs the risk of spoiling his imminent resurrection. Exactly how Superman returns is another question entirely.

Look for Justice League to slam into theaters on November 17th. And despite those extensive reshoots and pick-ups, this is still very much Zack Snyder’s movie, with Joss Whedon being awarded a writing credit alongside Chris Terrio (Star Wars: Episode IX).
