Latest Justice League Banner Adds Superman Into The Mix

Nipping at the heels of yesterday's poster reveal, ComicBook.com has uncovered the latest banner image for Justice League that adds Superman into the mix.

Barring last week’s final trailer, Superman has spent most of Justice League‘s exhaustive campaign waiting in the wings. But even death can’t hold the Last Son of Krypton down.

Truth be told, Warner Bros. has been very selective when marketing Zack Snyder’s imminent DC tentpole, perhaps in fear that comic book fans will be able to piece together any and all clues pertaining to Superman’s resurrection. That goes some way to explaining why the Man of Steel has been omitted from almost all of the posters, not to mention the TV spots, banners, featurettes and behind-the-scenes photographs.

But Superman is in Justice League, make no mistake about it, and in order to drive that point home, ComicBook.com has relayed a rather dubious banner that places the Big Blue Boy Scout among the other costumed crusaders. We say dubious because this is unlike anything that has released through Warner’s official channels. The perspective is all off, for one, while it’s fairly easy to spot the individual layers. Aquaman and the Caped Crusader are also three feet tall, by the looks of things, and one need only look to yesterday’s official banner to identify a Photoshop job done right. It’s night and day.

But if nothing else, it’s another reminder that Justice League makes room for the Man of Steel, who was lowered six feet under at the tail-end of Batman V Superman. Chances are Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon have saved their ace in the hole for the dying moments of Justice League, when Superman will likely ride in to save the day at the 11th hour. Perhaps he’ll be bringing Green Lantern along for the ride? That’s just one of many, many theories doing the rounds online.

Either way, all will be revealed once Justice League lights up theaters on November 17th.
