Latest Marvel News: ‘Deadpool 3′ makes MCU history with X-Men castings as Marvel fails to retcon Jonathan Majors’ ‘Quantumania’ role

You'd think rebooting the Fox universe would be the harder task.

As we dive ever deeper into the Multiverse Saga, the cross-franchise crossovers keep on coming, in this case thanks to Deadpool 3 funneling even more former Fox favorites into the MCU. On the other hand, it seems Marvel did such a good job of immediately cementing Jonathan Majors‘ Kang the Conqueror as our new big bad that it’s now unable to kick him from his perch. Last but not least, the way we could never tell when Robert Downey Jr. ended and Tony Stark began was always a good thing… until now.

The wins keep on coming for Wade Wilson fans as Deadpool 3 has just added two more returning characters to its cast list. Specifically, Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna are back on board as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and her girlfriend Yukio (“Hi Wade”). The couple made waves back in 2018’s Deadpool 2 for being the first ever openly gay superhero item in any comic book film. So it’s pretty cool that the pair will get to claim that honor again, but this time for the MCU. Yes, we’ve had Eternals‘ Phastos, but not two LGBTQIA+ heroes in love before. It’s about time!

We suspected as much, but if rumors are to be believed, Marvel is doing its best to keep Jonathan Majors and Kang the Conqueror out of people’s mouths as much as possible as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits Disney Plus. The problem is the studio did such a good job of raising the hype for the Quantum Realm ruler when the film hit theaters that it’s hard to put the genie back in the bottle at this late stage and attempts to do so are only drawing more unwanted attention to the mystery of what exactly is going to happen with Majors as his legal issues draw on.

Robert Downey Jr. comes under fire for being the wrong kind of real-life Tony Stark in new streaming series

For a hot second there, it looked like Robert Downey Jr. was entering his Lex Luthor era, what with his Oppenheimer-ready shaved head, but now he’s reverted to his classic Tony Stark persona, only it’s not quite hitting the same as it did during the glory days of the Infinity Saga. As the actor’s new streaming TV series, Downey’s Dream Cars — hitting Max this June — sees him investing millions to boost his enviable car collection, folks are wondering if the man who played Iron Man is taking a little bit too much after his alter ego in having his heads in the clouds.

From Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 putting Avengers: Endgame to shame to Quantumania‘s few fans admitting they were wrong to ever like the movie, the Marvel news carousel never stops turning, so don’t miss the latest updates.
