Netflix is rarely the site of good news, with the streamer continuing its questionable axing of popular shows in favor of bringing new ones in, to say nothing of its siege on password-sharing that even Blockbuster tore it to shreds over. But, even when the streaming service isn’t knee-deep in ridicule from its unpopular business practices, genuinely good news still seems to elude us.
Of course, we only mean good news from the perspective of us viewers; we’re sure Netflix couldn’t be happier that its subscribers are sinking their teeth into not just one, but two critically lambasted pieces of new horror content. As unhelpful as that is when it comes to telling Netflix what the people want, at least a Nazi-slaughtering Spaghetti Western is helping to turn that particular tide.
Elsewhere, it’s bad news across the board when it comes to Netflix stars old and new, and one in particular is in some especially hot water.

This time last year, Grace Van Dien was winning us all over with her heartfelt but short-lived role in the fourth season of Stranger Things; indeed, her moving performance as Chrissy Cunningham made it all the more devastating when she wound up as Vecna’s first victim.
But if we rewatched it now, in light of the Twitch streamer’s vile comments toward YouTuber FaZe Rain, we might be a touch more apathetic; as grossly childish as Rain was being in their recent back-and-forth, there are certain lines that shouldn’t be crossed, and one of them is bringing up one’s history with drug overdose and addiction issues.
In any case, Van Dien now seems to be in the “find out” phase of things, so to speak, and the internet looks to be dead-set on ensuring that she finds out.

Martin Scorsese’s description of box office obsession as “repulsive” is perhaps one of the most respectable and sobering ways to look at the state of film; a world where movies are mostly measured as products rather than works of art is a particularly disheartening one. And it’s no different in the streaming world; as long as people consume it, more will probably come.
All this to say that if we get more movies like Tin & Tina, Netflix’s new supernatural horror movie that most everyone has been trashing, we’ll truly be in the darkest timeline.
With a horrendous 19 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing, one has to wonder why it debuted as Netflix’s seventh-most watched film worldwide. We suppose it just goes to show that there are no rules when it comes to success in entertainment.

Indeed, Blood & Gold certainly hit the nail on the head when it came to selling itself, which perhaps factored into its debut at ninth place on Netflix’s worldwide Top 10. Forget by-the-numbers ghost stories and lackluster serial killer thrillers; our favorite subgenre is Nazi-punching, and it sounds like Blood & Gold is delivering that and so much more.

Before the MCU really picked up steam, Netflix was the home of some of the franchise’s most beloved content, plenty of which remains to this day. One of these shows, of course, was the Daredevil series, which tragically met its end after three seasons – all of which currently now reside on Disney Plus.
And while leading man Charlie Cox has since returned to the modern MCU limelight, it looks like one of his fan-favorite co-stars will maintain legacy status, with one Deborah Ann Woll revealing that she hasn’t heard a peep or a whisper about an MCU future.
Woll portrayed Matt Murdock’s once-love interest Karen Page, and her electrifying performance in the Netflix show has left many a fan cursing this particular state of affairs.
