Leaked Spider-Man: Far From Home Art Reveals First Full Look At Mysterio

Some leaked Spider-Man: Far From Home promo art has given us what appears to be our first look at Mysterio's full costume in the film.

While the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer ended up being a treat reserved for those who attended Brazil’s CCXP the other week, the info that emerged from the panel is thankfully something that fans everywhere can appreciate. And among other things, we got some pretty surprising revelations about the character of Mysterio.

Though it’s long been assumed that Quentin Beck would be Peter Parker’s next major antagonist, Tom Holland teased that the dynamic between the pair won’t be that simple, even going so far as to describe their relationship as “brothers in arms” as the two of them work together to fight some Elementals.

While that’s certainly intriguing to hear, perhaps the thing that’s got fans most curious about Mysterio is what he’ll look like. Aside from some set photos, we haven’t really seen much of the character, and though the trailer apparently reveals him in full costume, it’s yet to make its way online. What has made its way onto the web, however, is promo art from the latest issue of Empire Magazine, which shows off Mr. Beck with his suit on – minus the fish bowl helmet (which we know that he’ll have).

Again, this is just promo art and isn’t an actual photo from the film itself. It is, however, accurate and a proper look at how Mysterio will appear in Far From Home, and you can check it out for yourself down below.

Pretty cool, eh? Surely it’ll only be a matter of time before we get a still, but until then, it’s worth revisiting all this chatter about Mysterio not being an outright villain. At least, not at first. In fact, Ned Leeds actor Jacob Batalon recently teased the following:

“It’s basically just about the kids going on a European vacation. We go to London, we go to Prague, we go everywhere. It’s just a really fun thing. There’s a lot of dynamics that go on. A lot of relationship stuff. A lot of cool funny stuff. A lot of fun stunt stuff. The main focus is for him not to be Spider-Man per se, but he gets dragged into it. But you know he reluctantly saves the world again with Mysterio. Mysterio’s a good guy in this, they’re both teaming up to kill the game, to defeat these Elemental monsters.”

From what we understand, Nick Fury will bring Peter back into the action during his European getaway, with Gyllenhaal explaining back at CCXP that Mysterio’s understanding of the Elementals is what will make him so useful in taking them out.

“Well there are these threats to the world, the Elemental creatures, and Mysterio is someone who knows about them and who wants to make sure that the world is safe from them, and Nick Fury asks him to come on and help because he’s the only one who really understands them in a way. And he teams up with the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and unfortunately, he has to make him become more than just a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.”

It certainly sounds like Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s cooking up a pretty interesting depiction of Quentin Beck, and with any luck, we’ll get our first footage of him in action early in the new year.
