Disney Plus’ Loki reached its season finale this week, and it ended on a killer of a cliffhanger as the multiverse was finally unleashed. Many fans assumed this action will be what fuels the incoming multiversal mayhem we know to expect from the likes of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, we can now report that the God of Mischief will not be the only one responsible for playing havoc with reality.
We Got This Covered has heard from our reliable sources – the same ones who previously told us about Anthony Mackie’s Captain America 4 before that was confirmed – that various other heroes are going to mess with the multiverse, not just Loki. In particular, we’ve been told that Peter Parker, Wanda Maximoff, Stephen Strange, Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne will also share in the blame.
Loki episode 6 saw Loki fail to stop Sylvie from killing He Who Remains, the one being who was keeping the Sacred Timeline in check. With him gone, the timeline splintered into countless other realities and the main timeline became one where Kang the Conqueror ruled over the TVA. Fans assumed this was the inciting incident for the likes of Spidey 3, Ant-Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2, but it sounds like each of these films will actually be more independent than we realized, with these heroes causing their own problems.
From what we’re hearing, Peter will make a mistake in No Way Home, leading to him battling villains from other universes, Strange and Scarlet Witch will cause some madness in DS2 while Scott and Hope likely accidentally unleash Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Loki – who’ll return for a second season of his own show – is not exactly off the hook, then, but it doesn’t seem like he’s going to be the only one to mess up.
