Lots Of Great Horror Movies Are Leaving Netflix In September

Horror fans, take note! There's a ton of movies and TV shows leaving Netflix next month, so you better start binge-watching now.

As has become standard for the streaming giant, as the end of each month draws closer, Netflix releases two lists out in the wild, which subscribers tend to pay close attention to. The first details all the movies, TV shows, and original programs that are making their way to the service at the start of the next month, and as we already reported on, horror fans will have plenty to enjoy come September.

However, the other list doesn’t spark the same feelings of enjoyment and anticipation. Of course, I’m referring to the content that Netflix is planning to take off of the platform, and every month, the company tends to ax a few noteworthy TV shows and movies from their catalog. Of course, the need to move content in and out of rotation makes sense, but when you find out that your favorite film is set to leave in a few days, the urge to binge-watch can be unbearable.

As you might imagine, plenty of spooky and unnerving movies and series are leaving the platform in September, and we’ve gone ahead and compiled a list for your reading pleasure. Some of the noteworthy departures include A Clockwork Orange, Monster House (granted, that one’s more family-friendly, but it’s a solid film regardless), and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet St.

To find out what horror movies are leaving Netflix next month, check out the full list below:

Leaving on September 1st:

  • A Clockwork Orange
  • Eight Legged Freaks
  • Ghost Ship
  • Gothika
  • Monster House
  • Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet St.

Leaving on September 16th:

  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

Admittedly, this list isn’t massive, but it’s sad that some of these movies will be taken off the platform in a few days. We’re curious, though, do you plan on watching any of these in the coming week? Let us know by dropping a comment down below!
