Though Star Wars fans are still waiting for that Sequel Trilogy reunion between Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, the recent opening of Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort gave Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford the opportunity to offer the next best thing.

Taking to Twitter, Hamill shared a selection of photos of himself posing in front of the theme park expansion’s full scale replica of the Millennium Falcon. The pics see the Original Trilogy star alongside some familiar figures, including George Lucas and Billy Dee Williams. Even Ford, who’s often been highly unsentimental about his run as Han, was present for a couple of photos, and in the tweet’s caption, Hamill recalled their reunion as follows:

“The reunion I’ve always dreamed of happened yesterday at #GalaxysEdge

Harrison: ‘Peter- This one’s for you.’

Me (in my thought bubble): ‘Carrie- You are here with us in our hearts.’”

The Peter in question is original Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew, who passed away back in April. When the news first broke, both Ford and Hamill shared statements paying tribute to the star, with the latter describing him as the “gentlest of giants” and a “big man with an even bigger heart.”

As for Carrie Fisher, though the actress passed away in 2016, Leia is set to return in the upcoming Rise of Skywalker by way of unused footage from her last two movies. Nonetheless, Hamill hasn’t been shy about expressing his disappointment that the Sequel Trilogy killed off Han before the Original Trilogy’s three leads could reunite.

For what it’s worth, one rumor that’s been making the rounds lately is that this year’s release will show Han, Leia and Luke together once more via flashback. With that in mind, perhaps there’s still hope that Hamill’s comments were intended to build up the surprise. Either way, we’ll find out when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20th.
