Marvel Approaches Keanu Reeves For Almost Every Movie They Make

These days, it sure does seem like folks far and wide are catching Keanu Reeves Fever. Actually, it's highly understandable because the guy has a number of box office hits and cult classics under his belt. After making a name for himself in the Bill & Ted movies, he then went on to star in Speed and The Matrix Trilogy, the latter of which remains a personal favorite of this writer. More recently, the John Wick series has won over audiences with its stylish action scenes and gorgeous cinematography. Oh yeah, there's also the fact that Keanu just happens to be a really likable fella.

Knowing this, it’s no wonder that Kevin Feige and the rest of the brass over at Marvel Studios see Reeves as a hopeful addition to their cinematic universe. In fact, the head honcho said the following in a recent interview:

“We talk to him for almost every film we make. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

Already, True Believers have contemplated what Keanu could possibly look like if cast in the roles of Namor and Wolverine via some impressive fan art or petitions. Personally, I’d lean toward the latter given my longstanding love of the X-Men, but that’s just me. Come to think of it, it’d be kind of cool to see him play the bad guy and suit up as Mr. Sinister.

If you’ll recall, the screen veteran has dabbled in the comic book movie genre before, having landed the titular gig in Constantine. Granted, the enigmatic exorcist is a different breed from your average superhero fare, sure, but it goes without saying how that area of fandom would welcome him back with open arms.

Keanu Reeves can currently be seen in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, with Toy Story 4 set to follow on June 21st.
