Oh for the love of God…wasn’t The Hangover: Part 2 a big enough slap in the face? But like always, money talks, and Mike Tyson heard the call loud and clear as he has confirmed he will return for The Hangover 3. During his radio interview with Dan Patrick today, the controversial celebrity announced that he would be featured in the third installment of the popular comedy series.

In a slight show of mercy, star Bradley Cooper recently stated that the formula for the third film will be a much needed departure from the formula of the first two. Maybe this will give Phil, Stu (Ed Helms) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) the chance to redeem themselves for the screen stain that was The Hangover: Part 2. Galifianakis also stated earlier that one of the plots being considered involved breaking Alan out of a mental institution. As long as it’s not the same story for a third time, I’ll welcome it with open arms.

No one knows exactly how Tyson will play into the newest film, but hopefully he’ll have a larger part than his small cameo in Part 2.

Production for The Hangover 3 will begin soon, aiming for a release sometime in 2013.
