Knightley’s possible role has not been disclosed, but it has been revealed that Miller and Ehrenreich will both be reading for the part of Tetsuo, Kaneda’s telekinetic brother. Miller hasn’t been acting for very long, but he can be seen in the upcoming film We Need To Talk About Kevin, which has been getting excellent reviews as it makes its way through different film festivals. Ehrenreich is also somewhat new to acting, but has already starred in two films from Oscar-winning director Francis Ford Coppola, Tetro and Twixt.

Unfortunately, I haven’t really gotten the chance to see them in their few works as of yet, so I can’t really say who’d be the better choice. However, for those who have, which actor would you like to see nab the part?

Akira is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown) from a screenplay by Mark Fergus, Steve Kloves, Hawk Ostby, and Albert Torres.

No release date has been set for the film.
