The first trailer for Francis Ford Coppola‘s Twixt has been released. At nearly four minutes long, it gives us a pretty good look at the highly anticipated film. What we get is actually more a promo reel but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re at all interested in the film. Val Kilmer and Elle Fanning will take the lead roles while Bruce Dern, Alden Ehrenreich and Ben Chaplin will support them.
The film tells the story of “a faltering writer (Kilmer) on a book tour who gets caught up in a murder investigation with a strange connection to him.” It’s an interesting project for the legendary director and one that I’m very interested to see. The Gothic horror inspirations are quite apparent from the footage below and it looks to be rather spooky.
I think the best word to describe what we see here is intriguing. It has me hooked and I’m curious to see what Twixt is all about. Plus, after seeing Super 8, I’m now a fan of Elle Fanning and am looking forward to seeing her again on the big screen.
