Netflix Added 11 New Movies/TV Shows Today

Never Have I Ever

Netflix have boosted their library today by adding eleven new movies and television shows. The streaming giant, who are currently picking up strong audience reactions for the likes of Gunpowder Milkshake and the Fear Street trilogy, have released an eclectic mix of fresh material, including original romance A Perfect Fit, documentary Lift Like a Girl, season two of Never Have I Ever, and the animated hit Surf’s Up.

First up, in terms of features, A Perfect Fit is an Indonesian production about a fashion blogger experiencing doubt over her fiancee after meeting a shoemaker in Bali. While this might not be the most obvious plot for a romantic comedy, Netflix have a successful track record in the genre, and will likely be making a substantial percentage of its subscribers happy. The same rule can be applied to newly added picture My Amanda, which deals with the close relationship between friends.

Other films made available on Netflix include cult classics like Cheech & Chong’s Still Smokin, the Egyptian weightlifting doc Lift Like a Girl, and This Changes Everything, a look into gender imbalances in Hollywood. Finally, we have Surf’s Up, wherein Shia LaBeouf voices a penguin in a charmingly offbeat animated take on the sports and surf genres, and one that has previously gone over well with subscription audiences.
