He might not be the most popular guy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the moment, but there’s no denying that Thanos (Josh Brolin) packed quite the sockdolager in Avengers: Infinity War and, as a result of the snap heard around the world, the culmination of a decade-long effort to unite Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the big screen was undoubtedly one to remember.
Now, after a roughly fourth month-long theatrical run – which saw the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed blockbuster haul in a little over $2 billion at the worldwide box office, and push the highest grossing film franchise of all time past $17 billion – Thanos and company (well, what’s left of them, anyway) have officially completed the intergalactic journey to home video.
However, if you’re still on the fence about purchasing the fourth highest grossing movie of all time on DVD, Blu-ray, or combo pack, All Out Movies has got the “inFILMercial” to push you over the edge.
Are you “tired of the boring, one-dimensional” supervillain stereotype? Well, “look no further than Thanos!” Seriously, this is the opening line of dialogue from the roughly four-minute and thirty-second featurette, during which the YouTube channel mentioned above has pieced together a downright hilarious infomercial promoting the physical release of Avengers: Infinity War.
Truthfully speaking, I’m not entirely sure whether the supercut is gently poking fun at the third supergroup instalment, or blatantly ripping it a new one. Regardless, any video with a dedicated segment to Ebony Maw is A-OK in my book. But if the Black Order member isn’t your cup of tea, fear not, the clip is bound to have you in stitches even if Avengers: Infinity War didn’t.
