Men In Black III, the highly anticipated sequel to Men In Black II, is currently in production. Today Cinematical, via JoBlo, brings us some new details on the film. One of the writers at JoBlo appears to have read the script already. If you want to reamain completely in the dark on the film then you should probably stop reading. Although nothing major is spoiled, certain plot details are revealed.

The film will see Agent Smith (Will Smith) travelling back in time to save a young Agent Kay (Josh Brolin). Smith will travel back to 1969 where he will encounter people like Andy Warhold, Jimi Hendrix, Yoko Ono and Fidel Castro. The villain will be a ‘nightmare biker’ type villan named Yaz, who travels back in time to kill Kay.

A point that was brought up is that Josh Brolin is playing a young Agent Kay who is supposed to be 26. Brolin is 42 in real life so I’m not sure how that will work out. If Kay is 26 in 1969 and Brolin is 42 now and Tommy Lee Jones is 64, there may be some age issues. Another issue brought up with the script is that it’s kind of silly and includes a lot of stereotypical time travel humor. The script is also apparently a bit hard to follow in terms of the plot and doesn’t always make a whole lot of sense.

Men In Black movies aren’t really known for having solid scripts though. Both Men In Black films have been a bit silly and are movies you have to watch for fun and not care if the script makes sense or not. I’ve never really been a fan of either of the Men In Black movies and I’m not particularly looking forward to this one either. Who knows though, it may turn out ok.
