When it rains, it pours. Or at least, that seems to be the motto for when it comes to set photos of Hollywood blockbusters. With The Dark Tower now shooting, snaps from the set have been pouring out at an alarming rate. Not that we’re complaining, mind you. The film has been a long time coming, with numerous delays and setbacks threatening to prevent it from ever hitting the big screen. Thankfully, everything is rolling along smoothly now, as evidenced by the photos in the gallery above.
Unlike the last batch of set pics, these ones have Idris Elba’s Roland Deschain heading into action. We see the actor engaging in a fight scene with an unknown bad guy as well as battling it out with Jackie Earle Haley’s Richard Sayre, looking all kinds of badass in both instances.
Unfortunately, what’s here doesn’t give us too many more hints about the plot (which is widely speculated to be taking on the form of a sequel rather than a direct adaptation), but they’re a whole lot more exciting than what we’ve seen so far. Hopefully it’s just a matter of time now before we get something official from the studio, be it an image or even a teaser trailer. Until that happens though, these set photos will have to do.
Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, The Dark Tower is currently set to be released on February 17th, 2017.
