Nick Fury Action Figure Might Reveal A Huge Spoiler For Captain Marvel

The inclusion of Skrulls in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie has sent MCU fans into a state of paranoia, posting various forum theories that accuse everyone from Bruce Banner to Thor of being one of these shape-shifting aliens in disguise. But while the evidence is thin for most of these allegations, a new leak from the next wave of Marvel Legends action figures has certainly given us something to think about.

The image shows a model of what appears to be Nick Fury, who returns as a younger version of himself in Carol Danvers’ big screen debut. But what’s got some fans wondering whether this truly is the Avengers assembler are those green eyes, which perhaps hint that one of Captain Marvel’s extra-terrestrial foes has taken his form.

It’s worth noting that the top-rated comment under this Reddit post is from a user who claims to have worked at Hasbro and who argues that the green tint might just be an issue with the plastic. Nonetheless, while it feels way too late in the game to suggest that Fury has been a Skrull this whole time, it seems perfectly plausible that one of these beings will disguise themselves as the character at some point in the upcoming flick due to Nick’s connections to both Carol and S.H.I.E.L.D.

In fact, we already know of at least one Skrull who’s managed to infiltrate the organization, with Ben Mendelsohn assuming the role of the villainous Talos who doubles as Fury’s boss in the agency. We’ll find out if anymore hidden enemies lurk in Carol’s midst when Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8th, 2019. After that, the heroine will be meeting up with Nick’s other superhero friends when Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26th.
