It’s strange to see a character known for swinging his way through the streets of New York make his way around an Italian city in a motorboat, especially in full costume, but we’re sure Spidey has his reasons. Since we previously saw Fury riding shotgun, there’s certainly a case to be made that Peter is currently involved in an assignment for S.H.I.E.L.D. At the moment, a popular prediction is making the rounds that this secretive agency will be making a return – perhaps in response to the universe-changing events of next year’s Avengers 4 – and this would certainly shed some light on why Fury and his colleague Maria Hill have recently been witnessed back on the scene.

Of course, it’s also a safe bet that Spidey’s boat ride has something to with his new foe, Mysterio. From what we’ve seen, Peter’s conflict will take him round several parts of Europe, including Venice, Prague and London, and a few set pics from last month suggest that a showdown between the wall-crawler and Jake Gyllenhaal’s villainous character could be taking place in a carnival in Liberec.

Evidently, Peter has a lot of traveling on his schedule, be it by boat or by sky, and we’ll find out what it’s all for when Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5, 2019.
