As if the cast of David Raymond’s psychological thriller Nomis wasn’t enviable enough, The Hollywood Reporter brings word today of some new recruits.
With Henry Cavill (Sand Castle), Ben Kingsley and Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario already locked in, THR has confirmed that Stanley Tucci, Nathan Fillion and Minka Kelly have all climbed on board alongside fellow newcomers Brendan Fletcher and Mpho Koaho. Little is currently known about how each of their respective characters factor into the storyline, but we understand David Raymond’s genre movie centers on “an American police force that traps an online predator, only to realize the depth of his crimes goes far beyond anything anticipated.” The Zodiac Killer for a digital age? Color us intrigued.
Directing from his own script, David Raymond now presides over a truly star-studded lineup. In terms of those new additions, we know Stanley Tucci has a small part to play in Disney’s forthcoming Beauty and the Beast movie, which is on the verge of a historic opening at the international box office in two weeks’ time. The actor will also reprise his role for Transformers: The Last Knight come June. Minka Kelly, on the other hand, is coming off TV drama Jane The Virgin, while Modern Family star Nathan Fillion is expected to enjoy a minor role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Could the former Firefly actor really don the tights as Wonder Man? Or will he simply crop up via a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo? Leaked set photos suggest the former, but we’ll find out one way or another when the Marvel sequel lights up theaters on May 5th.
Meanwhile, Nomis is currently lensing in Canada ahead of an expected release sometime in 2018.
