As 2018 nears its end, we still have neither a plot summary nor a release date for next year’s Three From Hell, but director Rob Zombie is sure making us feel in the loop with all the photos and teases he’s been sharing in recent months.

Just last week, for instance, the filmmaker took to Instagram with the claim that Bill Moseley’s character Otis will be as bad in this upcoming sequel as he was in 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, and now it seems that it’s Emilio Rivera’s turn to be hyped up as Zombie returns to social media with a photo of himself and the Sons of Anarchy star. In the accompanying caption, the director hinted that the pair have further work to do on his next horror movie:

“Doing a little work today with my bad ass buddy @emiliorivera48 . He tears it up in THREE FROM HELL.”

Though little is currently known about Rivera’s character in Three From Hell, it’s at least evident that he’s important enough to get his own poster, which is shot in the style of a prison mugshot. And while it remains to be seen whether we should be taking this image literally, it’s clear that parts of the cast will be witnessed behind bars, including the movie’s titular trio.

From the look of things, sections of the film will take the form of a courtroom drama, with Otis, Baby, and Captain Spaulding fighting for their freedom having somehow survived a round of bullets at the end of The Devil’s Rejects. It’s a safe bet, however, that the confrontations in Three From Hell will go well beyond legal rhetoric, since Bill Moseley has offered his personal assurance that the movie is “chockablock with gratuitous violence.”
