The deluge of Justice League content - both official and unofficial - continues unabated. In the past 24 hours alone, we’ve caught wind of Ben Affleck and his “more traditional [and] heroic” Caped Crusader, fan theories involving Green Lantern, and a poster that brings together the entire squad – yes, even Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel is featured in the latest Justice League one-sheet. In terms of what we have for you today, it might fall more into the rumor and speculation category, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less interesting.

Though Warner Bros. is intent on keeping any and all plot details tightly under lock and key, information continues to leak out and this latest tidbit might just be the juiciest one yet. We’ll warn you now that it contains some MAJOR spoilers, so if you’re sensitive to that kind of stuff, you may want to look away. You’ve been warned.

Still with us? Good, because this new scoop is definitely intriguing. According to Cosmic Book News, a YouTuber at SDCC, Chris Hartwell, claims to have seen some spoiler-heavy images from the film, and they reveal an awful lot. The biggest takeaway would be that one of the main characters will seemingly be killed off, and it might just be Batman.

You can check out the full report below, but that’s certainly what we gather from what we have here.

Regarding Henry Cavill as Superman in Justice League, the YouTuber claims he saw three photos. One featured the Justice League without Batman “kind of protecting and carrying a coffin,” assumed to be for Superman (or could it be Batman??).

The second photo appeared to be of a dead Clark Kent with Aquaman standing over him and Wonder Woman, Flash and Cyborg in the background. The YouTuber assumed it was Clark Kent because the person wore a suit (or is it Bruce Wayne??).

The third image features Superman with black pants, no shirt, flexed and looking angry staring down four of the members of the Justice League with Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Cyborg.  It’s noted that “interestingly again, Batman is not in that picture.” It’s also suggested that Superman could be an antagonist (bad guy).

Again, all of this remains unconfirmed, of course, but it wouldn’t be too outside the realm of possibility. For one, everything points to this being Ben Affleck’s last outing as the Caped Crusader and we’ve heard a few times already that Warner Bros. is looking to give him a graceful exit. Plus, with Flashpoint now in production, they could easily introduce the Thomas Wayne version of the character and use him instead of Bruce. Or, somehow bring Bruce back in the future due to the Flash altering the timelines, as he so often does.

Truthfully, it’s hard to say right now since we know so little about the film, but we should find out soon enough, as Justice League zooms into theaters on November 17th. Further down the pipeline, Warner Bros. has also reserved space on its slate for AquamanWonder Woman 2 and Shazam, the latter of which is eyeing a production start in early 2018. Word is that an April 2019 release is on the cards, but one way or another, there’s no place for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.
