It was just this past weekend that we got a new promo for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which premiered at the Kids Choice Awards. Funny, action-packed and entertaining, it delivered a very promising look at the film, one which left fans begging for more. Seems like they got their wish, too, as Marvel has now dropped yet another new preview for the highly anticipated sequel, and you’re definitely going to want to check it out.
Though only 30 seconds long, it throws in a generous amount of laughs, space-set action, a few new bits of footage and of course, another great soundtrack choice, all making for a slick promo that certainly accomplishes what it set out to do – build hype. While the studio is getting a bit close to overkill with all the promotion we’ve seen recently, and the rest that’s still the come, when the trailers and TV spots are as good as this, it’s tough to complain. Besides, even with everything we’ve already got, next to no plot details have been spoiled, and as long as it stays that way, fans shouldn’t have too much of a problem being assaulted with clips, trailers and promos in the lead up to the film’s release.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters on May 5th. It won’t be the only Marvel film to land this year, either. Far from it, in fact, as we also have Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok to look forward to as well, which debut in July and November, respectively.
