This news comes hot on the heels of both Russell Crowe and Pierce Brosnan being linked to the highly sought after part as well, but at this point, it’s unclear who the frontrunner may be (assuming the latter two are actually being considered, that is). That being said, we’d be quite surprised if Fox goes with Harbour. He’s a strong screen presence and did some great work on Stranger Things, but from what we’d heard, the studio was hoping to find an A-lister.

Who knows, though? Things have been kept pretty quiet on the casting front so far and we really have no real indication as to which direction the producers may be leaning in at the moment. Harbour could certainly be an interesting pick though and while he’s not our first choice, we also wouldn’t be totally opposed to it. After all, if the actor’s already screen tested with Reynolds, you have to believe that he’s got a good shot at nabbing the part.

Regardless, with the casting process heating up now, we hopefully don’t have too much longer to wait before Fox comes to a decision. The film is expected to head into production this spring, so they need to choose someone sooner rather than later. As such, we imagine it’ll be only a matter of weeks now before we get something official.

Until then, however, take to the comments section below and let us know who you want to see portray Cable. And, if you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the details on the first promo for Deadpool 2, which will screen with Logan.
