Stunning Fan Art Imagines Alexandra Daddario As Birds Of Prey’s Huntress

When it comes to certain superhero groups, it stands to reason that each iteration hopefully include at least a few of the core characters most fans imagine when said clique comes to mind. In the case of the Justice League, it’s hard to picture it functioning without the likes of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, just as we’d expect Iron Man, Thor and Captain America to show up in anything Avengers-related.

Though the Birds of Prey may be lesser known to the mainstream, Batgirl, Black Canary and Huntress are thought to be the quintessential members. So, naturally, when people say that Huntress is said to show up in their first silver screen adventure, you bet that our response is “she had damn well better!”

Most fortunate for the sake of this conversation, recent reports have informed us that, yes, Huntress and Black Canary will indeed be invited to the party, but Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn has bumped Barbara Gordon from the bill. Then again, Hollywood is known for using comics as mere blueprints.

Getting back to Helena Bertinelli, SavageComics has drawn up a rather gorgeous piece of artwork letting us know how Alexandra Daddario would look in full costume, and it can be seen below.

Though Huntress’ threads worn in Batman: Hush are the first that come to mind when I picture her, this is known to be one of her definitive pieces of attire. And although Daddario would be a good fit, let’s not forget Jane Levy is game for filling the role, or that an open ethnicity casting call could be put out, especially when you factor in the character’s skin tone since being reimagined for the New 52 and Rebirth eras.

Right now, Birds of Prey doesn’t have a concrete release date, but casting news should heat up soon. I say that because filming is set to commence in early 2019, so it stands to reason that the next few months should prove interesting. As always, watch this space for more.
