David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film is about to enter its seventh week of production and has once again fallen victim to a slew of leaked images thanks to eager, eagle-eyed fans watching from afar. We’ve already seen shots of Harley Quinn encountering the Joker and close-ups of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc, and now we have a glimpse at one of the film’s biggest surprises yet.

A new batch of photos feature preparation for an action sequence showing a helicopter crashing into two Midway City buses, along with what looks like a pack of mysterious, grossly mutated soldiers.

Based solely on their appearance, it’s hard to tell exactly who these fully-armed sludge men are. One character we have yet to see enter the fray is Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress. Could these soldiers-turned-creatures be a product of one of her powerful spells? Anything is possible, I suppose. In any case, they represent yet another glimpse at Ayer’s devotion to using practical effects, which is always welcome in today’s CGI-saturated climate.

Suicide Squad will blast into theaters on August 5th, 2016.
