Last week, the DCEU took significant steps forward in confirming the start date for Wonder Woman 2’s production and with the release of the first official poster for Shazam! In typical DC fashion though, the progress and potential were short-lived.

Originally thought to be a slam dunk for the comic book publishing giant, James Wan’s upcoming Aquaman, as it turns out, didn’t test so well with viewers. It’s never a good idea to form an opinion on a movie before seeing it, of course, but in DC ’s case, every unsatisfactory reaction is like a death sentence.

Now, to combat the negativity, it looks like the studio has given Superman’s (Henry Cavill) manager, Dany Garcia, the go-ahead to start the hype train. Or so it seems. And that’s because she took to Twitter earlier today and posted the below image of her and Cavill discussing something top secret. It might not look like much, but there’s reason to believe that Garcia’s Tweet is the latest tease that Superman will indeed cameo in Shazam!

Along with Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia is serving as an executive producer on the David F. Sandberg-directed movie, currently slated for an April 5th release next year. Now filming in Toronto, Shazam! is the leading candidate regarding what Cavill and Garcia could be teasing here, although nothing’s been confirmed as of yet.

That being said, apart from Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Cavill’s schedule isn’t exactly crowded at the moment. Couple that with Garcia and her client’s connection to the DCEU, and the image practically screams superhero secrets. Even if it isn’t related to a Shazam! cameo, Cavill has already expressed interest in extending his DCEU contract, so perhaps Garcia’s Tweet could be teasing the long-awaited Man of Steel sequel?

Time will tell, but let us know what you think by dropping a comment in the usual place.
