Last month, we caught a glimpse of Sylvester Stallone hitting the gym to bulk up for his return to the role of John Rambo after ten years away, followed by a few photos of the character looking like he’s gone full cowboy. For this next adventure, he’ll be taking on a Mexican drug cartel, with the hero on a rescue mission to save a young girl. Plot details beyond that remain under lock and key, but it seems like Stallone will at least be well equipped for his upcoming battle, as he’s just shown off his new weapon.

Taking to Instagram as he so often does, the actor shared the shot you’ll see in the gallery below, which came with the caption: Gripping the ‘Heartstopper “ … you just don’t turn it off.” Unfortunately, he wouldn’t say anything else in regards to what he plans to do with the deadly knife you see here, but let’s just say some poor Mexican baddies are going to be carved up in wickedly violent ways come 2019.

From what we understand, the project will shoot in Bulgaria and Spain, with the former location standing in for the southern USA and Mexico. Behind the camera, meanwhile, is Adrian Grunberg, who has an impressive resume as a second-unit director on Narcos and obviously knows this subject matter pretty well.

Unfortunately, an official title still eludes us, but you can expect Rambo 5 to reach cinemas in the fall of 2019. If you’d care to see Stallone reprise an even more famous role though, Rocky spinoff Creed II is set to be with us November 21st, 2018. Suffice it to say, it’s a good time to be a fan of the legendary action star.
