Tragic Avengers: Endgame Art Imagines Captain America’s Death

With Captain America expected to get a heroic death in Avengers: Endgame, we now have some tragic art that imagines the moment he meets his maker.

In the absence of any substantial information about the plot of the movie, there are many predictions that Marvel fans have about Avengers: Endgame that are so widely believed at this point, that they’re more or less expected to come true next month. And one of the biggest is that Captain America will meet his maker during Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ second battle with Thanos.

Of course, we’re still unsure as to how exactly it’ll happen, but it’s thought that Steve may end up sacrificing himself to save the day. After all, he’s just that sort of a guy, right?

But how could the heartbreaking moment itself play out? Well, fan artist Boss Logic has now given us an idea of just that, putting together a rendition of a gut-wrenching scene in which Cap’s left to die in a snowy landscape, with a hefty print stained with blood telling us exactly who’s responsible for his tragic death.

See for yourself below:

Given Marvel Studios’ intention to bring new characters into the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not to mention Rogers’ inherently self-sacrificing nature, it’s easy to see why so many people are predicting that Steve will be the one to die in Endgame. Then again, Marvel probably knows that we’re all expecting this to happen and may choose to surprise us by killing off one of the other OG Avengers instead. Maybe Tony? Or Bruce?

In any case, Rogers will surely remain one of the most widely predicted deaths in next month’s release. And though co-director Joe Russo’s recent statement that Evans is “not done yet” with the role may have some rethinking their forecasts, all will be revealed sooner rather than later, when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
