Depressingly Awful Trailer For The Three Stooges

Well, here it is: the trailer for the ungodly upcoming Farrelly brothers film, The Three Stooges, placing Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos as Larry, Curly and Moe respectively. The trailer - which ends with a scene featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and that's the high note - is not only unfunny, but also it's kind of painful to watch.

Well, here it is: the trailer for the ungodly upcoming Farrelly Brothers film, The Three Stooges, placing Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos as Larry, Curly and Moe respectively.

The trailer – which ends with a scene featuring Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and that’s the high note – is not only unfunny, but also it’s kind of painful to watch. The impressions of the characters are fine; it’s the complete lack of intelligent writing that makes this trailer so offensive. Assuming not much has changed, I have no idea why Jim Carrey, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro ever considered starring in this movie.

Why the Farrelly Brothers thought the comedy of The Three Stooges would translate to a 2011 audience is beyond me. You can’t just remake anything you want, Farrelly brothers. This is a disgrace to all fans of The Three Stooges and fans of comedy in general.

The Three Stooges is set to premiere on April 13, if anyone cares to know.
