Vin Diesel doesn’t even need words to explain why an all-female ‘Fast & Furious’ spinoff has limitless potential

What's that word for a close-knit group of longtime friends and acquaintances?

Given the propensity for sequels and spin-offs that’s defined his career for more than 20 years, nobody was at all surprised when Vin Diesel confirmed that even though Fast X has lit the touchpaper on the main franchise drawing to a close, The Fast Saga is a long way from over.

That was entirely to be expected when the actor and producer has appeared in no less than a mind-boggling 25 sequels, short films, offshoots, and spin-offs covering film, television, and video games derived from the opening installment of a property he appeared in, but there surely won’t be room at the table for Dominic Toretto whenever that long-gestating all-female Fast & Furious flick happens.

The chrome-domed colossus has been talking up the project for half a decade at this point, and it was only recently he reiterated his desires to make it happen as soon as possible. As it turns out, Diesel doesn’t even need to explain why, when a simple image shared to his Instagram account did a better job of showcasing its unlimited potential better than he ever could.

Alongside Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow, the star-studded collection of Fast & Furious alumni includes franchise veterans Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez, Academy Award-winning legends Helen Mirren and Rita Morena, fellow Oscar winner and Fast newcomer Brie Larson, and yet another Oscar winner in the form of recurring villain Charlize Theron.

Throw Fast X alumni Nathalie Emmanuel and Daniela Melchior into the mix, and potentially even Hobbs & Shaw‘s Eiza Gonzalez, and that’s a cast of ass-kickers any blockbuster in the business would kill for.
